Mark 5:21
¶ And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

 “Issues”
Issues: the OUTGOINGS of life, the things happening to us and through us, that which is flowing through our life,
Proverbs 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Mark 5:21-34
21 ¶ And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered [P1] unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
[P1]There’s A LOT more going on than JUST your issues.
EVERYBODY has problems
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers [P2] of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
[P2]Maybe you cannot see yourself as IMPORTANT as others in need, but you STILL have issues
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
·        [P3] NAMELESS – “a certain woman” – NOBODY knows me, NOBODY sees my need, and NOBODY feels my pain and understands why I cry…
[P3]EXCUSE: there’s TOO MUCH going on for Jesus to notice me or my issues

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
o   Her life was defined by SUFFERING
o   She was SPENT OUT…
§ Another relationship is NOT the answer
§ Another job will not cure you of your “issue”
§ Another hobby or vacation or cruise will NOT take the pain away
This “issue” was draining the life right out of her
o   She had tried “it all”…and was only WORSE

·        NUMBERED among the crowd – When you looked, she was indistinguishable among the throngs of people in need around her
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
o   She knew it wouldn’t be easy…
o   However it WOULD be WORTH IT!!!
o   Only Jesus could FIX her PROBLEMS
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
o   Jesus SOLVED her problem.
o   Jesus SATISFIED her “issue”

·        yet NOTICED by God to be penned down in Scripture
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
o   God SAW her among the crowd
§ You are NOT unknown and NAMELESS to God Almighty
§ Jesus is LOOKING TO SEE YOU among the crowd TODAY
You are not just some suffering creature that lives and dies a meaningless life among nearly 7 billion worthless others on the planet
NO! YOU were created in the very image of Almighty God Himself.
Jesus LOVES you!
You are MADE for Him and were MEANT to LIVE in His LOVE!
He passed her way ON PURPOSE!
Sure, He has other things to do (Jairus daughter) HOWEVER, He ALWAYS has time for your “issue”
o   God SAVED her from her need (she had an issue)
§ Jesus SEES YOU
§ Jesus KNOWS YOU
§ Jesus UNDERSTANDS why and where it hurts the MOST
ONLY the Virtue of our Risen Christ can soothe and salve the sufferings in your life
The Blood of Jesus Christ is ENOUGH to wash ALL your sins away!

33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole;go in peace, and be wholeof thy plague.
Wouldn’t it be NICE to go from here today in PEACE…KNOWING that your life draining ISSUE was made WHOLE by the power of Jesus, the Almighty Christ of God!?!
COME to JESUS…REACH OUT to Him in Faith this morning…Let Him SAVE you!

"THANK YOU PATRIOTS"
Pastor Tony Jones
On the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States of America
Thank you Patriots of long ago for deciding to take a stand,
For giving us our Republic and for fighting for this Land.
Thank you Mr. Patriot for shouldering a gun,
And marching through the snowy winter, never thinking to turn and run.
Thank you Mrs. Patriot for sending off to war,
Husband, sons, and when they were gone…you wished you could do more.
Thank you young Patriots for praying every night,
That your daddy and your brothers would stay strong for what was right.

The Patriots of old are now long dead and gone,
But there’s another generation who stands for right and fights the wrong.
Thank you Mr. Patriot for registering and casting your vote,
This is how we keep our country free and continue to have hope.
Thank you Mrs. Patriot for your willingness to give,
Your sons and daughters in uniform who fight that we might live.
Thank you young Patriots for remembering your past,
For if freedom is to survive, it’ll be you who makes it last.

So Patriots, READ your history, and PRAY that others may NEVER know,
The pain of slavery or the burden of tyranny, but LIBERTY and JUSTICE alone.
Don’t fall for the lies of entitlements, but work hard and make your way,
NOTHING is FREE that hasn’t cost SOMEONE, so roll up your sleeves and sweat today!

Thank you Patriots for living today for a country God has blessed,
Keeping in mind that it’s” In God We Trust”, and His Divine Way is best!
Thank you Mr. Patriot for leading your family, to the House God,
This is where FREEDOM begins and here LIBERTY is available for ALL.
Thank you Mrs. Patriot for loving your country and living the Christian life,
Your church family is blessed, as you fulfill your duties as mother and/or wife.
Thank you young Patriot friends, Oh do not ever stray,
From the Bible or Church or the Man of God or from bowing your heads to pray.

Now on this day we REMEMBER and REFLECT and RESPOND with tears for our loss,
But we also think back to a Hill far away where Jesus paid for our sins on the cross.
And we pledge to be TRUE to the RED, WHITE, and BLUE, the banner of Patriots brave,
Remembering with Honor they shed their blood, and their lives for this FREEDOM they gave.
So we say our goodbyes to those that are gone, though their memory stays with us still,
Knowing this FREEDOM they died for, is not easily kept, but we say “by God’s Grace we WILL!!!”

Restoration
Lives are like an old car...they need to be RESTORED!

  • Getting it BACK to how it USED to be
  • Carefully removing the "rust"
  • Repairing the places that are damaged
  • Taking special care NOT to do more HARM than GOOD
  • Know that it will take time and work
  • Have all the materials and tools for the job
  • Keep it in a safe and secure location to do a really good job
  • Make sure you have PLENTY of LIGHT
