Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

One of the KEYS to having an effective Bible Study is to have a PLAN.

There are many useful plans out there, and you may find one that suits your needs and specific learning patterns.

I would suggest for beginners (baby Christians, etc.) that you READ your Bible every day!  PRAY and ask the Holy Spirit of God to have liberty to speak to your heart.  GO to EVERY service held at the House of God!  SPEAK to your pastor and ask him for counsel concerning your Biblical questions.

As you GROW in Grace and Knowledge, I would recommend that you ADD to your Daily Bible Reading, the Daily Psalms and Proverbs.  This has been a highly effective tool in my own life and I have gleaned much from the Word of God and my life has been enriched by this simple practice.

HOW IT WORKS:  Read the Psalm that corresponds with the date of the month (Jan 1 would be Psalm 1) then as most months have 30 days in them, add 30 (Psalm 31).  Do this 5 times  (Psalm 1, 31, 61, 91, &121 )  Then read the corresponding Proverb for the date.  On the 31st, read Psalm 119 and Proverbs 31.  It sounds a little confusing, but believe me, you will get the "hang" of it.

As the Apostle Paul told Timothy, you should STUDY the Word of God to show yourself approved (current) at the stage of Christian Maturity you SHOULD be at this point in your Christian life.

So begin to do more and more in depth studies of the Word of God.  ASK the Pastor about some Bible Study he would recommend!
